this is the view of the kitchen balcony [if you squint you can see our neighbours through the bars...]. if they can afford it, people tend to make grated and spiked cages of their houses, barbed-wire and steel gated refuges to lock themselves into. the compound we're living in has double padlocking on its main doors to the street. at first it seemed so odd to not only lock others out but to double-y lock myself IN against the outside and whoever it is that inspires so much fear.
though that said, far scarier was how quickly i accepted it.
and this i took leaning through one of the grates on our window in our bedroom. [jen and i have got the sweetest pad in the house, without a doubt :) its slowly turnin into the chill out spot...well, not really chill....this country is TOO hot to have anythin to do with chill...haha. its going to be weird going back to sleeping with blankets again...]
